Energy, Goals, and Swordsmanship: A Day with the Spring Dragon Club

Today was one of those days where everything just flowed – full of focus, fun, and progress. Jimmy took the lead in class this time, which gave Tjardo and me the space to really dive deep into our Yedo Kumbup. There was a great vibe in the air, everyone was in a good energy, and you could feel something special was happening.

After class, we all moved over to my studio down the street for our Spring Dragon Club Meeting. That might sound a bit mysterious (and to be honest, sometimes it is), but it’s mostly a space where we, as club members, come together to reflect, dream, and make plans. We discussed some great questions – from personal goals to how we can make the club stronger and more fun. The atmosphere? Open, curious, and nice and informal. Just the way we like it.

After a quick lunch, I wasn’t quite done for the day. The energy was still flowing strong, so Tjardo and I headed outside for an extra Yedo Kumbup training session. There’s something truly magical about training under the open sky – the fresh air, the space, and the sense that you’re part of something bigger than yourself.

All in all: a day full of movement, connection, and depth. Days like this remind me why we do this – not just to improve in the art, but to grow together.

Tot de volgende sessie, en tot de volgende clubmeeting! 🐉✨
