Cutting Practice in the Garden โ€“ A Day of Growth and Focus

This afternoon, we gathered for a cutting session, training both single and double sword techniques under the principles of Haedong Kumdo โ€“ Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu. The location? Tjardoโ€™s garden โ€“ a sunlit, peaceful oasisโ€ฆ nestled suspiciously in what felt like a post-apocalyptic setting. Think The Last Samurai meets Mad Max, but with better tea and less screaming.

We dove into correcting our cutting angles, improving the speed of our strikes, and entering each cut with a calm and focused mind. The sun was generous, the energy was right, and despite the slightly dystopian surroundings, the session was a joy.

By the end, we left not only with sharpened skills but also with renewed inspiration and confidence. Just goes to show: you can find clarity and discipline anywhere โ€“ even at the end of the world (or at least the edge of Tjardoโ€™s lawn).
